Privacy Policy

Welcome to Rootware’s Crap—where I dissect game development, server modding for Lineage 2, and occasionally rant about random software in Delphi, Java, C++ and .NET. Before you dive into the content, here’s the legally mandatory (and slightly dull) part about how your data is handled. Don’t worry, I’m not selling your browsing history to shady guilds.

1. What Data I Collect

I am not from GRU, so I keep it minimal—because managing spreadsheets of user data sounds like a terrible quest. Here’s what’s tracked:

  • Embedded YouTube Content – My videos (and maybe a cat meme or two) use YouTube’s player, so their privacy policy applies. They probably know your gaming habits better than your mom.

  • Analytics – Jetpack and Yandex Metrica help me see if anyone actually watches my tutorials or just skips to the memes. No personal data, just numbers.

2. Cookies (No, Not the Diablo Loot Kind)

This site uses cookies to:

  • Remember if you’ve seen the “This site uses cookies” warning (meta, I know).

  • Make sure Jetpack and Yandex Metrica don’t count you as 10 different people.You can block them, but the internet might treat you like a NPC with amnesia.

3. Third-Party Shenanigans

  • YouTube: Embedded videos follow their rules. I don’t control what they track (but I bet it includes how many times you rewatched that glitch exploit).

  • Jetpack & Yandex Metrica: They tell me things like “5 people read this post before rage-quitting” or “someone actually clicked that link?”

4. How I Use Your Data

Mostly to:

  • Fix bugs in the site (because even devs need debug logs).

  • Pretend I know what content you want (spoiler: probably more memes).

  • Avoid GDPR jail (lawyers don’t accept adena as payment).

5. Your Rights (Yes, GDPR Still Exists)

You can:

  • Ask what data I have (hint: almost nothing).

  • Demand I delete it (I’ll comply, but I might cry a little).

  • Complain—though I recommend venting in-game instead.

6. Changes to This Policy

I’ll update this if laws change or if I finally add that “Pay in Adena” option. Check back… never, unless you’re really bored.
